A sojourner and singer, I have made my way through two years of school at Eastern Mennonite University.   From reverberant orchestra rehearsals (I study music with a little psychology and justice, peace, and conflict studies on the side) to the silence of the Sinai desert (this past semester I traveled in the Middle East with a cross cultural group from EMU) I find dissonance and harmony, joy and questions; life is for living.   This summer, living at home in Iowa, I am playing outside with my little sisters and waitressing Jamaican style.

A lover and learner, I am in pursuit- of who or what is this thing called God and how do I approach that in my life; of playing games of ultimate Frisbee; of a Thoreauvian/ More with Less lifestyle (simplicity and justice); of enjoying and connecting with people through laughter and conversation; of pulling a delicious shot of espresso to make a latte at the Cottonwood Canyon where I work; of digging as deep into creativity as Julia Kasdorf, Clara Weick Schumann, and Toni Morrison; and of learning to listen.
So, bring on the soreness, rain, and dirt, I'm coming, excitedly, to bike, from Kalona, IA to New Jersey.

I hope you all are doing well!

peace. kristen.
