Upon graduating from Eastern Mennonite University in December 2004, I decided not to persue a career in biology, my field of major study.  Instead I have been employed in construction trades for the past 16 months, which have been good to relax my mind but also motivating to take advantage of the opportunity of young adulthood.  I've always been an adventurous soul, looking for the next excuse to get out of the house, state, or country.  Being an avid backpacker, fisherman, traveler, conversationalist, and biker (or at least soon hope to be), I couldn't resist the opportunity to join this trip.

Bike Movement will cap a whole summer exploration of the western United States through backpacking, biking, and road tripping.  Although I will hopefully learn a great deal of the flora/fauna of the west as well as take in the great geographic diversity it has to offer, I hope my learning is not restrained to these.  I hope to grow as a person in both mental and physical endurance as well as continue expanding my heart and mind through countless interactions to come.  I cannot wait to begin this unique journey.
