Addie Liechty
Indianapolis, Indiana

I have spent most of my life in the mountainless midwest region of Indiana. I graduated from Goshen College with a degree in Peace, Justice and Conflict Studies this past December. Since then I have been facilitating leadership conferences that have taken me to ten different U.S. cities. I plan on taking another year to explore and travel before entering graduate school to receive a Masters of Clinical Social Work.
I greatly enjoy creating and performing music as well as reading, movies, travel and spending time with the people I care about. Recent travels have included a three month Study Service Term in The Dominican Republic, three months in Kenya working with former street children and those impacted by the AIDS epidemic, as well as a couple weeks in Costa Rica studying the feminista women's movement.
This trip represents the amazing possibility that this world holds and the choice that I can make to experience as much of it as I can. It comes at a time where I am putting off, "the real world" by exploring THE REAL WORLD. I have experienced God most often in nature and through the interaction with others, and this trip is assured big doses of both!
